Our Story

Joel Raab
Joel started his career as a 15 year old dee jay at WTHE, Long Island, New
York, which at the time was the only Country station in the New York
Metropolitan area.
He studied Radio-TV Film and graduated from Northwestern University. While
there, he served as an air talent at two Chicago Country music stations.
Upon graduation, Joel got the programming bug and went to Pittsburgh
where he programmed the leading Country station for three years after a short
stint as Assistant Program Director.
Then it was on to Cleveland and New York where he programmed and won against
strong Country format competition.
Twenty years ago, Joel began consulting Country radio stations. His clients
today include stations owned by Beasley, Bonneville International,
Entercom, CBS Radio, NextMedia, Opus Broadcasting, Wilks Broadcasting,
Saga, and others.
